　　Summer holiday is coming. My classmates have different plans for it. Some of them plan to travel to have a good rest. They think that places of interests can help them relax. Some others are likely to make full use of this holiday to improve their study. They want to do more reading to prepare for the coming study. For those who are fond of sports, summer holiday is a good time to do exercise and keep healthy. As for me, I will stay at home all the summer holiday, because my parents are too busy to take me out.

　　The countryside in summer 在夏天的鄉(xiāng)下

　　Summer has come, with its warm sunny days, making us thing of all sorts of nice things, such as holidays in the country, picnics and haymaking parties.

　　When Spring came, she found the earth cold and bare, but she soon changed all that, and by the time Summer arrives, the world is a very different place. It is a green world now, green leaves on the trees, green grass in the fields, green plants crowding in the hedges, and flowers opening everywhere.

　　The days are long and the nights are short, for the sun gets up early and goes to bed late in sunny June. It is one of the best and brightest months in the year. Birds sing from sunrise till long after sunset.

　　As night falls, one after another the birds stop their singing, and after a few last sleepy sounds, put their heads under their wings to rest for an hour or two before beginning again. They do not all sleep, however. When other birds are silent, comes a soft cry, then, after a few moments, another, louder this time; and soon the nightingale pouring out his wonderful song.

　　Not only at night does the nightingale sing. On almost every warm day in early June, the little brown bird sings away in the roads and woods, but, as all the other birds are also singing at the same time, we do not notice his voice so much. It is at night, when he has the field all to himself, that we hear the nightingale at his best.

　　Last summer, I went to Dalian for my holiday. This year I plan to spend my summer holiday on sports. If you ask me what my favorite summer holiday will be like, traveling around the world is the only answer. I like traveling so much that I often meet different people and visit different places of interest in my dream. I wish I could have two summer holidays in a year.

　　A Summer Camp 夏令營

　　This summer, I had some special days. I joined Dongzhou International Educational Exchange Summer Camp.

　　First, I will tell you about our foreign teachers, they are Shrina and Rebecca. They are friendly and beautiful. They are students at Oxford University.

　　We talked about many things: famous people, subjects in England, different jobs, our deal days, western star signs, what can we say in a restaurant and so on.

　　We know lots of things, like what the difference is between "chef" and "cook", all the parts of the body…

　　We tried to write a letter to Principal Zhang. We made a play and we drew our own comics and tried to sell it. We gave some other students English lessons, we taught them about Chinese Dragon, Chinese Martial Arts and the Olympics.

　　Every afternoon, we played exciting games: Chinese Whispers, Tongue Twisters, Wheelbarrow, egg and spoon, three legs…

　　On the last day, we had a good time. We made black tea. We put tea bags, some milk and lots of water in to a big bowl, and then we stirred the tea until it became red and dark. Oh, it tasted good! Later, we used eggs, flour and milk to make many pancakes. To cook them is very interesting. When we finished it, the pancakes looked round and nice. We put some jam on it. How delicious! I wont ever forget it.

　　The summer Camp is a really good chance for me. I know the local things in England. I learned a lot and like English more. I also know better ways to learn English well.

　　I hope one day I can see you in England.

　　I went to summer camp on vacation. On the first day, we went to a beautiful beach. It was a sunny and hot day, so we went swimming. The water was warm and we had great fun. Then the next day, we went to the mountains. There were many trees and I really enjoyed them. On the last day, we had a great party. We sang and danced happily. We didn’t want to leave the friends and the teachers. I hope I can go to summer camp again next year.
